Lantern Festival- Community Event
What is the lantern walk?
Much like the Japanese Winter Illuminations Festivals, Diwali
celebrated across the planet, and European traditions of ringing in
the transition of fall to winter- we will welcome the planetary shift
of seasons with our lights and songs. We will decorate lanterns(all
supplies provided), have snacks on our blankets and enjoy the company
of our wonderful community. Then, when the darkness feels too deep, we
will venture out and enjoy walking the forest grounds together as our
lanterns and voices light the night to welcome the season.
Come for the picnic and crafting. Stay for the lantern walk. We will craft our lanterns while we eat and when the sun is properly down, welcome the winter season of early nights and cool weather.
